It is essential that we protect our animals from the cold conditions when the temperature begins to decrease. Some individuals are under the belief that dogs are not as susceptible to the cold as humans are.
However, there are some kind-hearted people who go to extraordinary lengths to protect animals from dangerous conditions. A curious passerby took photos of a dog owner’s kind and endearing manner of caring for her pet and uploaded them to Facebook, where they have since received a lot of positive feedback.
A month ago, the weather in Cambridge, Massachusetts was blustery and chilly. At the bus stop in Harvard Square, a woman by the name of Kristina Hollie was chatting with a coworker of hers.
While she was standing there waiting, she observed a woman walking her dog. The strange man fastened the dog’s leash to a tree so that the woman could quickly enter the post office.
The dog, however, was plainly trembling due to the chilly temperature… Therefore, the owner did something that was quite kind: she gave the dog her jacket.

According to what Kristina told The Dodo, “She immediately took off her jacket and covered the dog as he sat.”
“Maybe she thought he would kick it off, so she bent down and zipped it up around him!”
Kristina could not fail to acknowledge the thoughtful gesture, and she expressed her gratitude to the woman for taking care of her pet, “She just replied, ‘Thank you! I don’t want him to be cold!’”
The photographs were uploaded by Kristina to the Dogspotting group on Facebook, where they were met with the approval of many thousands of users.
As Kristina boarded the bus, the dog was still waiting for his owner outside, but she noticed that he was comfortable and happy despite the cold weather.
She shared her experience with The Dodo, saying, “I saw two or three other people walk past him and comment that he looked very cute and very warm.”
