Some of us are familiar with the difficulties of long-distance relationships, but when the other party is a stray dog that refuses to leave your hotel, most people would find it hard to believe.
Olivia Sievers, a German flight attendant, frequently travels to Argentina for work. On her way to her hotel in Buenos Aires, she encountered a stray dog.

Olivia, feeling sorry for the lonely dog, gave him some food and water before continuing on her way, but the dog, later named Rubio, never forgot the kindness she had shown him.
Olivia was then followed by the dog to her hotel.
She told Noticiero Trece, “I tried to change my way because I didn’t want that him to follow me back to the hotel,” she told Noticiero Trece. “But it was not possible. He always came back and followed me. I tried one hour, but he always watched me and followed me. He was really happy that somebody gave him attention.”
When Olivia left her hotel to return home, she did not give the stray she befriended a second thought, but Rubio was obviously quite taken with this kind-hearted woman.

When she returned to Buenos Aires for work, Rubio was outside her hotel waiting for her. This time Olivia stopped playing for a while and, feeling sorry for him, gave him a blanket to sleep on at night.
She had no idea that she was making a friend for life.
Olivia began to suspect that Rubio was aware of her work schedule because he was always waiting for her at the hotel in Buenos Aires. She even had a local shelter pick him up and attempt to find him a new home, but he escaped and returned to her hotel.
It was evident that Rubio had decided who he wanted to be with, and it wasn’t long before Olivia came to the same conclusion.
The flight attendant decided to adopt Rubio and completed the required paperwork to bring him back to Germany with her.

With Olivia and her two other dogs, Rubio is now surrounded by love. No longer will he be required to wait outside a hotel to see his soulmate.
