The decision removes one of the few hurdles preventing Microsoft from closing the deal and expanding its gaming business.
The commission also asked US District Court Judge in Southern California Jacqueline Scott Corley to take the same stance, but she rejected the request, writes Reuters, following the Telegraph.
Microsoft chairman Brad Smith said: “We appreciate the Ninth Circuit Court’s response in denying the FTC’s motion to further delay the settlement. This brings us one step closer to the finish line in this marathon of regulatory reviews around the world.”

However, this deal, which is the largest in the history of the video game industry, must receive approval from Britain. /Telegraph/
